As Connecticut becomes a hot spot state for the coronavirus, Yale and nearby medical institutions are doing their part to provide much needed space for the influx of patients. Even Yale nursing faculty, students, and staff have volunteered to help with the surge in Covid-19 cases. Furthermore, hospital employees are even giving their own blood through blood drives. This response should set an example for other universities to repurpose and depressurize dorm rooms into hospital spaces for patients. The Army Corps of Engineers are able to repurpose facilities from hotel lobbies to university dorm rooms into needed healthcare space. Will Wesleyan University follow suite?
