The current advisor to Red Bull’s Formula One Team, Helmut Marko, had the idea to bring together his team of about fourteen men into a camp where they could all be infected with COVID-19 together. He suggested that now would be a very good time for the racers to become infected as their season is on hiatus. The motivation behind this idea is that the racing season can continue as the drivers will have immunity. Unfortunately, Marko is forgetting that once someone has contracted COVID-19, it is not guaranteed that they are now immune to the disease. He is also overlooking the fact that although these men are young and healthy, they could still experience very life-threatening symptoms if they contracted COVID-19.
