Since Sanders dropping out of the race, Biden has clinched the Democratic nomination and has recently gotten the endorsements of Obama, Sanders and Warren as the Democratic Party rallies behind him. As part of his efforts to present himself as a different type of leader to Trump, he released his own plan to reopen the economy which lays out various steps that need taking before the economy can be reopened and continued social distancing. He also wants to further fund hospitals for when “flare ups” happen. While he continuously says that the virus is not Trump’s fault, This is a clear continuation of his strategy of coming off as a more plan-heavy and reasonable alternative to Trump.
