Joe Biden, the presumptive Democratic nominee for the 2020 election and President Trump had a fifteen-minute conversation over the phone about the coronavirus issue. According to both Kate Bedingfield, Biden’s deputy campaign manager, and the President himself, the conversation was warm. The conversation happened in the wake of criticisms of Biden from the Trump administration, as both Trump and Conway made statements that Biden should be reaching out to Trump and giving advice rather than criticizing. It is, however, unknown whether or not the Trump administration had attempted to contact Biden or other members of the Obama administration for advice, as the Obama administration had some success in controlling to Ebola outbreak.
